I'm sure I've covered her before, but just in case (and it never hurts) here's her video for Black Light In The Forest ! Soledad Velez' record, Wild Fishing, sees it's US release next Tuesday, 4 June on Absolute Beginners. Growing up listening to her father's jazz records in Concepcion, Chile, she formed a rock band with her sister, and moved to Argentina to pursue songwriting before ending up in Valencia, Spain. Soledad writes fantastic hooks along with the her ballsy tremolo voice reminiscent of Joan Baez.
